I found this great site that sends you a free book.  You read it.  Write a 200 word review. Post it on your blog.  Put your review on various websites.

Got my first book.  Pretty excited.  Who doesn't love free books?

I review for BookSneeze®

Max is crawling - "Bambi-bear crawl style".

My mom, Heather and I are opening a cake shop.  They put our sign up on Monday.  It's really happening!!!

Wes and my dad spent their day off working in the "cakery" to get it ready for construction.

For Keeton

Dear Keeton,
I want you to know how much I love you and how thankful I am that God chose to spare your life.

November 2009

You have brought so much joy to me.  I love your facial expressions.

blurry but adorable
I love the way you run when someone is chasing you, your glasses, and your chocolate brown skin.

But more than anything I love that you are a constant reminder of God's healing power.  All of your milestones have been huge celebrations and we praise God for each one.

I thought our family was close, but you brought our family closer together then I ever thought possible.  Your mommy and daddy were amazing through this trial and I want you to know that the reason they were able to endure this was only because God was carrying them.

My sister, Betsy, and her family
God has already used your life in a big way.  My prayer for you is that you understand early how much God loves you and that you continue to impact others to bring them to God and His son, Jesus Christ.

Kobe and Keeton

Again, Keeton, I love you and can't wait to watch you grow into the person God wants you to be.

Love
Auntie Abby

This week is Shaken Baby Syndrome (SBS) Awareness week.  I hate that our family has had experience with SBS, but I love the way God has shown His faithfulness.

Don't do it.  If it crosses your mind, walk away.

And please don't joke about doing it.  It's not funny.

For more information, you can go to www.shakenbaby.com.

Sunday Snapshot {Crawling}

Max is trying really hard to crawl.  He just can't quite get it.  Most of the time he gets in the bear crawling position, but then doesn't know what to do next.

He gets so excited when he's trying...

Max can push himself backwards, he can rock back and forth and he can get from the sitting position to the crawling position, but no crawling.

I know my world is going to change when he starts moving.   No more leaving him in a room knowing he will be in the same place where I left him.

I'm thinking it going to happen soon.  I'll keep you posted.

So Long, Sophie...or Gerry

This is how excited Max gets when he sees Sophie the Giraffe.  My dad renamed him Gerry the Giraffe because every toy animal's name needs to have alliteration.

Max is especially fond of Sophie...or Gerry while he's teething.  Max has one tooth that has finally popped through.  I think a few more are coming.

Yesterday, on our walk through the neighborhood, we took Sophie...or Gerry along with us.  Little did we know that this would be the last time we would see the beloved giraffe.  Some time during the walk Sophie...or Gerry was hurled out of the wagon by Max.  I'm sure Max didn't know the true consequences of his actions and I didn't know what had happened until later in the day when I took the blanket out of the wagon.  Wes went looking for Sophie...or Gerry - no luck finding our teething friend.  So long, Sophie...or Gerry.
