Strawberry Balsamic Flatbread and Brown Butter Banana Strawberry Bread from Joy the Baker. Joy (I'm assuming that's her name) seems very quirky...and I love quirky.

One Habit that Radically Changes a Family - Love this idea. Some people say that habits are hard to break. For me - habits are hard to start.

Picturing Max wearing these Retro Racer Shorts makes me smile.

Where's the Love? Wednesday {6.8.11}
What I'm loving this week...
These 2 guys winning the Metzger - Destination Unknown - Outdoor Race. They had to do things like throw knives, walk through swamps and jump off ramps with noodle wrapped bikes.
Somehow, we were lucky enough to get to keep the trophy. Thanks, Rick. And, yes, it's sitting on our mantle.
This Michigan football jersey that I found at a garage sale. Apparently, Max wasn't in the mood for a photo shoot. And no comments like: "I'm sure he's crying because it's a Michigan jersey..."
He's actually crying because his dad said he couldn't be a Hoosier and a Wolverine at the same time.
Where is your love this week?
It can be fun, lighthearted, deep and meaningful or a little of both. It can be one thing or many things It may even be one simple photograph to capture where you're feeling the love.

Sunday Snapshot {I Had a Moment...}
I can't believe that it's June already. That means my boy will turn one this month. I still get overwhelmed that he is ours. The past 11 months have flown by.
Sometimes, in the midst of life flying by, I have moments that remind me to slow down and enjoy Max and forget about the tasks at hand.
The other day, I had one of those moments.
Max is going through a stage where he wants me
ALL
THE
TIME.
It can be a little frustrating. I was in the middle of doing something...I'm sure very important... and Max was right at my feet - crying.
I decided to take a little break. We sat on the floor and shared some goldfish. He was so excited.
I love moments like this that remind me to slow down and spend some time enjoying this gift God has given me.

Max looked at me like this.
And I just started crying. I'm sure he was thinking, "What the heck is wrong with you, Mom?" In my head I'm thinking, "Buddy, you better get used to it. Your mom comes from a family full of criers."

Where's the Love? Wednesday {6.1.11}
What I'm loving this week...
Sleeveless shirts on baby boys...especially when it's my boy representing my high school.

Taking Max to the splash park for the first time.

Max isn't looking too much like a baby here. :(
Wasn't too sure at first - Clinging on to Wes for dear life.
Max loving my cooking...so far.
blueberry pancakes
I'll be honest - the messiness stresses me out. Not because I'm a neat freak, but because I will be forced to mop my floor more than I would like.
