Where's the Love? Wednesday {3.7.2012}

What I'm loving this week...

Max relaxing with a book on the potty.

Max partially undressing himself...often.  It's quite possible that this will lose it's loveliness soon.

Max hanging out with his buddy, Caedmon.

Max's new swim trunks.

 Max learning the tricks of the trade at the cake shop.

Apparently, this used to say, "Max is cute", but "Max is cut" is appropriate too.  He does have some defined shoulders...

Going to the library with my boy.

I hope you take time to find the lovely in your day today.

10-4 Good Buddy. {March}

1. What is your go-to meal to fix? Soup...usually a chicken broth based soup w/ veggies that I need to get rid of, maybe shredded chicken if I have some frozen and barley.  Lots and lots of barley.  For some reason, I bought an enormous bag of the stuff.  I guess it's better than having an enormous bag of candy...at least that's what I tell myself.  I love how it makes the entire house smell yummy too.
2. What piece of furniture in your home do you love the most?  Probably my glider for 2 reasons - It was my Grandma's and it's Max's favorite spot to read books.  The changing table in Max's room is a close second.

3. What is your favorite picture from last month {February}? Quinn's arm around Max cracks me up and I love the joy on each of their faces.

4. What household chore do you dread doing? Cleaning our shower and bathtub

5. What was your first car? 1990 blue Ford escort.  I got it in 1999.  It had under 20,000 miles on it.  An old lady owned it and only drove it to the store and church.  I know this because she kept track of her miles in a little notebook that she left with the car.  The car was affectionately named "Old Blue".

6. What is your favorite bible verse or favorite quote? Worry is a sin I have struggled with since I was a little girl.  Isaiah 41:10 is a verse I say to myself often. "Do not fear, for I am with you.  Do not be dismayed for I am your God.  I will strengthen you and help you.  I will uphold you with my righteous right hand."

7. Spring is coming.  What are you looking forward to most? Tulips!!!

8. What is the first blog you remember following? Enjoying the Small Things

9.  What is your favorite post that you wrote last month?  Probably this one because it still makes me laugh...

10. What's the last book you read? The Help

Thankful {messy kitchen}

Today, I'm thankful that this messy kitchen meant...

I have food to make a mess with and people to make a mess for.

But most of all, this messy kitchen meant that the weather was creeping up on 60 degrees and Max and I decided that kind of weather just can't be missed out on...even if the kitchen was a disaster.

So we walked.

Max swept...

...the water.

And discovered jumping in puddles.

And had to come tell me all about it.

As if this weather wasn't nice enough, the day turned sunny and we took off our jackets and played outside 2 more times.

Thank you God, for beautiful weather!

Go see what others are thankful for at a punk, a pumpkin and a peanut.  Thanks, Carina, for hosting the party!
