It Just Got Easier

It just got easier to support a child through World Vision.  Instead of having to contact me and give me all of your info, you can click here and do everything on your own!


Once you click on the link, you can choose a child that is available to sponsor.  While you are completing your info, don't forget to put Wes' name {first and last} in the box for Athlete's name.  {If you're not sure what our last name is...think real hard while stairing at the top of my blog.  You'll figure it out.}  That way Wes and his team will get credit.  




Ideas for chosing your sponsor child:


Find a child that is the same gender and age as your child.  They can grow up writing letters back and forth.  How fun is that?


Choose a child with the same birthdate as you or someone else that is special in your life.


Choose a child whose birthday is the same as another significant date in your life.


Choose an older child.  Younger kids are usually the first to get chosen.  

If you choose to sponsor a child, I would love for you to leave a comment with the name and age along with how you chose them.  Plus, we will need to chat so you can get your piece of jewelry from The Sparrow Fund

He's a Walker... Texas Ranger

It's the only title I could think of and everytime I say it, it makes me giggle.  

Max is walking.  

Last Wednesday, he took a few steps from my mom to Wes.  We, of course, cheered and Max, of course, looked at us like, "What's the big deal, people?"

So, we have spent the last 4 days watching Max get better and better and taking more and more steps.  Here is the latest video.

See Wes Run

On September 24, Wes is running in a mini-marathon with a group from our church for Team World Vision.  The purpose of Team World Vision is to raise awareness of children living in extreme poverty and to find people willing to sponsor them.  

That's where you come in.  

Maybe you would be willing to sponsor one child out of millions that are living in extreme poverty.  

$35 each month.  

Maybe you've considered sponsoring a child before but have never taken the next step.  

Maybe you have never heard of organizations like World Vision or Compassion, so something like this has never crossed your mind. 

I want you to think about it.  Seriously.

What I'm loving this week...

Max being extra cuddly this week.  Unfortunately, it was the result of a summer cold.

Juicy fruit that makes little hands sticky.

Surprise run-ins with friends at the park.  Like Max's friend, Quinn.

A trip to Cedar Point yesterday with these kids and their awesome mom.  It was hot, tiring and very fun.  I feel like I got run over by a truck today...
