Dear Squirrel
{Dear squirrel} Please stop coming into our house and messing with our plants.
{Dear Max} I know it was you and not a squirrel. Please stop.
{Dear brussel sprouts} I'm not sure how I feel about you. Last night was the first time I tried your kind. You tasted way better than I ever thought you would, but all I could think of was nursing homes and you made our house smell like poo.
{Dear Brandy Jane Mabel} Can I just call you Mabel? That's my gramma's name and I really like her. Sorry you have a grey hair.
{Dear Friday} I'm glad you decided to be sunny today.
Love,
Abby

Where's the Love? Wednesday {1.25.2012}
What I'm loving this week...
Max's face when you tell him to smile.
I am just now figuring out how to get my instagram pictures on my blog...Always behind, always behind. You can find me on instagram at akerslove.
I'm also loving that Max will look down Wes' shirt and say, "poop".
Hope you are enjoying lots of lovely things today!

I Don't Like Snow.
But seeing this face...
...makes it easier to endure the cold and miserable wind.
We bundled up again when Wes got home.
Max broke out his lawnmower when he saw Wes with the snowblower. He's such a good helper.
Then Wes and Max figured out that the lawnmower had a better purpose.

Sunday Snapshot {cupcakes and cups}
Max had cupcakes and milk for dessert. The boy loves cupcakes. He even decided to save a little in his hair for later.
And...he's graduated to drinking out of a cup at mealtime. We've had some spills, but they're getting fewer and fewer...
I can't believe how fast he's growing.
Apparently...Max can't believe it either.

Where's the Love? Wednesday {1.11.2012}
What I'm loving this week...
Wes installing a new garage door motor. Max will be moving into the room above the garage. {I'll post pictures of Max's big boy room when we're finished} The garage door motor sounded like a plane taking off...not conducive for a little one sleeping.
Max was a big helper too.
I love the way he's sitting...

Max was a big helper too.
Finding an activity to keep Max entertained. And it's helping others. I know...major choking hazard. I was with him the entire time.
I love the way he's sitting...
Max giving himself shots.
Checking to see if there are any air bubbles...
He says, "shot", sticks it in and then says, "ow".
Hope your day is lovely.

Facebook Timeline Cover Photo
I switched over to timeline on facebook because I found this on Pinterest. Thanks for pinning it Karla!
It's a tutorial using picnik.com. I'm a sucker for this site. If you haven't tried it for editing your pictures...you should check it out. I believe you need the premium package {I think it's around $24/year} to do this tutorial. It is so worth the money!
This is what I created.
What do you think of the new timeline on facebook? Have you switched over yet?

Ham and Spinach No-Crust Quiche
Leftover ham on the verge of going bad + getting a pedicure instead of going grocery shopping = scrambling through Pinterest to find a recipe with some basic ingredients so we can have some dinner.
This quiche caught my eye...
They used mushrooms...I used ham. They used mozzarella...I used mozzarella and cheddar.
Here are the ingredients.
Just in case you're wondering...I combined two cheeses to get rid of a bag. I love emptying bags, bottles, jars, etc...
And that poor ham..looking a little rough.
Here are the basics.
Spinach, feta cheese and ham in a pie plate. Add egg mixture.
Sprinkle with cheese.
Bake.
You won't miss it. I promise.

Tough as Nails.
Max had his 18 month check-up today.
He got a shot and didn't shed a tear. That a boy, Maxwell.
I think he shed all of his tears this morning. Somebody Max has decided to be an early riser the past couple of days and somebody else I refuse to get our little guy out of bed before 7..thus the crying. Don't worry, I checked on him. He was fine.
It'll make him stronger.
...or as my text to Wes said, "rough as nails."
Stupid auto-correct.
Max's official weight - 26 lbs 5 oz.
official height - 2 ft. 8 in.
Hope you have a tear-free weekend!

One Bite at a Time
I've never been a go-getter. I don't like making decisions. I'm not very organized. And I get overwhelmed easily. I sound like a real winner, huh?
So, when I stumbled across the Simple Mom website last year, it was like I hit the jackpot. The goal of Simple Mom: living a simple life. Just what a unmotivated, indecisive, unorganized, slightly stressed person like me needed.
Simple Mom hosted a 5 week Project Simplify series that I loved being a part of. I bought Tsh's {the head honcho of Simple Mom} book Organized Simplicity which is a great resource for cleaning and organizing every room in your home along with managing your time and family.
Do I have it all together now? Absolutely not. But I'm getting better.
Well...Tsh created another book called One Bite at a Time.
This e-book focuses on 8 different aspects of your life: living green, living well, money management, organizing your mind, organizing your space, relationships, taking care of yourself, and time stewardship.
I purchased it last year for $5 {which is a steal of a deal}. You can have this amazing book for $4 by using the code below. You have until next Tuesday, January 10.
