I'm going to say it again. Adoption is expensive, but please, please, please don't let that keep you from pursuing it. The financial aspect of your journey will be one more way that you can experience the faithfulness of God and trust Him with your money...or lack there of. Here are a few ideas that I found.
Just Love Coffee - $5 from every fair-trade bag of coffee that is sold through your website goes toward your adoption.
Sell t-shirts - design a shirt specifically for your adoption. I've seen many sold for $20 - $25. Some t-shirt companies like Olive Tree Tees allow you to sell their t-shirts to support your adoption.
Garage Sales - sell your junk {and your friend's and family's junk}. Make sure that you let people know that you're raising money for your adoption.
Sell your talents/hobbies - If you're crafty, make something and sell it on-line, in your community or at your garage sale.
How about a good old-fashion bake sale or car wash?
Start a blog that shares your adoption journey. Place a chip-in button on your blog for your readers to donate through PayPal.
Write a support letter to friends and family. This is a great idea if you have applied for a matching grant.
My Crazy Adoption has some amazing fundraising ideas for missions trips, but they could just as easily be used for adoptions too! Check them out!
Do you have any fundraising ideas that were successful for your adoption?
